The Dynamic Duo

Welcome my lovely readers, I am happy to tell you about my partner for the final task. I will be working with Jade Williams and I couldn't be more excited. I chose to work with Jade because both of us are smart students and have worked together on the commercial.

Originally, I thought about working alone but decided against this for several reasons. First of all, it is a significant amount of more work. For me, I don't have much knowledge about editing which would be a big struggle for my filming. Another flaw of working alone is not having a second opinion on different issues.

Although, working alone does have some benefits which is why I considered it. For example, working alone gives you complete control about everything. Whatever idea you come up with for the final task is what you can do. There is no one who can tell you not to do something or to do something else.

My original plan was to work with a group but ended up with just a partner instead. I am very excited to work with Jade and both of us have so many different ideas and different skills. The work will be split fairly, making sure both Jade and I have work to do but have a partner to rely on.

When it came to working with Jade compared to different people, I knew Jade was the perfect choice. Jade is a great student and has similar interests to myself. I knew that working with Jade would make executing this film become much more successful and efficient.

Ultimately, Jade will make a great partner. Working together will make this project much better and have a better result. I am so excited to work with Jade and can't wait to see how this film will end.

Throwback Time

Welcome back my lovely readers. It's been some time since I've written a blog. After finishing the music video, there was a bit of a break. The next project is the final task which is making the beginning of a movie. It's only two minutes of what would be five minutes. I'm very excited to start working on this project. It's time for a throwback back to the beginning.

This project will take some time to execute. Of course, I will update you all along the way. There will be much more blogs than the other two projects combined.

From the other projects I've learned many important lessons. For example, the importance of preparation. From research to planning to storyboarding, preparing the film is just as significant to the process. Simply making a film becomes messy and very difficult to execute. However, when research and planning is done it makes filming much easier and a better experience. 

Another lesson I've learned is to make filming much more efficient. Before filming, you need to have costumes and props ready to go and know exactly what needs to happen. Filming takes much longer without a plan of what materials are needed and what shots are needed. Also while filming it is important to film multiple takes so that there are options to choose from while editing.

Overall, I am ready and excited to start this project and hope all of you are too. I will update you all along the way so make sure to come back soon.
