A time travel movie gives us a lot of creativity and freedom. For example, we decide how time travel works, what era they go to, and the altered future that they come back to. The main problem with this idea is making sure that everything is accurate in history, anything that was created after the year in the past cannot be in the film. Although, we do have the capability to make this pitch. We have several locations that we could film at, we have the editing ability to make the change from present to past to present.
The second pitch is: “A woman comes home to realize her door is unlocked. She goes inside not knowing someone else is inside and sees her roommate dead.”
The biggest issue of this pitch is the fact that there are already so many movies with nearly the same plot. This movie would not be all that unique which is what we want from the movie. Also, this pitch would be difficult to film in two minutes and just difficult to complete at all. There are a lot of storylines to happen in just two minutes and there isn’t much of a script. We don’t really have a location or actors to be able to film this.
Ultimately, the first pitch is a better idea and the second pitch is just too difficult to accomplish. Neither pitch is easy but the second pitch is something we might not be able to complete. The first pitch has better reasons to choose it and the second pitch is too repetitive to movies already made.
The pitch we are going with is “Two best friends go back in time to relive one of their favorite memories, but when they return they realize everything got messed up.”
