Matching Shots to Lyrics
Hello to my lovely readers, today I wrote out what happens for each lyric in the music video. The first thing I did was figure out where in the song the music video will stop. I added all of these lyrics into a chart. From there I started to coordinate the scenes with lyrics. For the first two lyrics "Sun's up...it's a little after twelve" it is two separate shots of Kaitlyn in bed with a lighting change and her getting out of bed. The following two lyrics are the before and after of Kaitlyn eating breakfast just as the lyrics say: "Make breakfast for myself...leave the work for someone else". The two lyrics coming after are "People say...they say it's just a phase" are of Kaitlyn doing a mirror transition showing her before and after of being ready. The next lyric: "They tell me to act my age" is of her walking down the stairs. Kaitlyn greets Camille and I at the door during the lyric "Well I am". The next four lyrics are the three of us walking to the car, getting in the car, and pretending to drive. The next two lyrics are the three of us walking into the mall and walking into the store on "On this perfect day...tomorrow's gonna come too soon". For the three lyrics coming after each girl walks out of their dressing room in a dress. The lyrics: "Sun's down...a little after ten" it is the three girls in the pool having fun. The next lyric shows the girls drying off from the pool. The final three lyrics are the three girls watching a movie, having a pillow fight, and falling asleep. Doing this process will make the second part of filming easier. It's sort of a second part to the storyboard. Throughout the first day of filming, it was a little difficult to figure out the shots to film since the storyboard isn't based on the lyrics. I did all of this on a chart so it will be easy to look at. Tomorrow, filming will be much easier for the group.
